About James S. Walker

As Global Digital Manager at The Nature Conservancy (TNC), James works with a talented team of professionals to create online communication; fundraising and marketing solutions that help the organization grow its global network of members and supporters. The part that he loves the most is strategy development. Nothing quite matches the feeling of coming up with fresh ideas and a winning strategy that you know, if executed correctly, will lead to success in achieving the overall goal.

James started his career in health care communications but expanded his public relations sector knowledge to include energy, e-commerce, corporate responsibility, crisis communications and financial services as a digital strategy manger at APCO Worldwide.

In addition to building sector experience, he took advantage of the opportunity gain experience in corporate communications and international digital/social media via long-term assignments in China and Mongolia.

In 2010, James combined two major interests of his to launch Socially Diverse, an online journey seeking out culture online. After connecting with bloggers and online leaders in over 10 cities and 5 continents, his passion for exploring this area has grown even more.
